Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Available only at our Leyton and Lewisham clinics with Leena Dave
For Pelvic Floor, Pregnancy or Menopause issues
We offer specialist pelvic health physiotherapy for women and birthing people at every stage of life — from pregnancy and postnatal recovery to menopause and beyond. Our approach is discreet, compassionate, and grounded in the latest clinical evidence, delivered in the privacy and comfort of a dedicated clinic setting.
Pelvic health physiotherapy is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and is recognised as a first-line treatment for many pelvic floor conditions.
Support for Your Pelvic Floor Health
Pelvic floor symptoms are common — but they are not something you have to simply “live with.” We assess and treat a wide range of conditions, including:
- Pelvic floor weakness
- Urinary incontinence (stress, urge, or mixed)
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Pregnancy-related pelvic pain
- Postnatal pelvic floor dysfunction
- Diastasis recti (abdominal separation)
- Pelvic pain or discomfort during intercourse
- Menopause-related pelvic floor symptoms
Your appointments are unhurried and confidential. We take time to listen, understand your concerns, and create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you.
Antenatal Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pregnancy brings significant changes to your body. Antenatal pelvic health physiotherapy can help you stay comfortable, active, and prepared for birth.
We can support you with:
- Pelvic floor assessment and guided exercises
- Management of pelvic girdle pain (PGP) and back pain
- Bladder or bowel symptoms during pregnancy
- Birth preparation for vaginal or caesarean delivery
- Perineal education
- Safe, appropriate exercise advice
Our aim is to help you feel confident in your body as it adapts and prepares for birth.
Postnatal Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Recovery after birth looks different for everyone. Whether you are newly postnatal or months — even years — beyond delivery, it is never too late to seek support.
Postnatal treatment may include:
- Pelvic floor rehabilitation
- Assessment and management of abdominal separation
- Scar management (perineal or caesarean)
- Return-to-exercise and return-to-sport guidance
- Support for prolapse or persistent bladder and bowel symptoms
We work with you to rebuild strength safely and restore confidence in your body.
Pelvic Organ Prolapse Treatment
Pelvic organ prolapse is common and highly treatable. Physiotherapy offers a conservative, effective approach that can significantly reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.
Your personalised treatment plan may include:
- Individualised pelvic floor muscle training
- Lifestyle and activity guidance
- Advice on safe exercise and lifting
- Support alongside pessary use, where appropriate
