Gaurav Mehendale

After qualifying as a physiotherapist and winning the award as the Best Outgoing Final Year Student, Gaurav quickly realised his interest was in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

As well as gaining experience working in a speciality musculoskeletal clinic he provided physio services at various sports events including leading a team of junior therapists through an ultramarathon and providing field side support for a local Futsal team (a growing football related sport that all the greats started out in!)

Wanting to further his hands on physiotherapy skills he embarked on a masters degree at Birmingham University, after winning the only international scholarship award from the University’s ‘Life and Environmental Sciences’ department.

Gaurav believes learning these advanced therapy skills allows him to deliver the best hands on treatment to his patients as well as providing them with the expert knowledge and treatment programmes for the best recovery.

During his free time, he enjoys swimming and wildlife photography. He believes in continued personal development and has recently started running as a challenge , with aspiration of completing a triathlon.

Gaurav also speaks Marathi and Hindi.
